I am a video artist living and working in Amsterdam and Geneva. I work across documentary filmmaking, multi-screen video installation, photography, digital interactive art, drama, animation and virtual reality. Currently I am the Rome Prize Fellow at the American Academy in Rome. I am also an artist-in-residence at EPFL in Lausanne through Swiss Artists in Labs. My solo shows include LAXART, Los Angeles (2014), FACT, Liverpool (2013), MoMA, New York (2012), Miami Art Museum (2011), the Belkin Gallery, Vancouver (2010), and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (2008). My work has been exhibited in major international group exhibitions, including the Sundance Film Festival: New Frontier in 2011, the Berlin Biennale of 2010 and the Sydney Biennale 2008. After studying at Deep Springs College and Swarthmore College (BA Philosophy, 1998) in USA, I studied at the National Film and Television School in England (MA Film, 2005). I then received a Fulbright Scholarship for post-graduate study in visual art at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam (2007- 2009). I was born in Boston, USA, in 1975.
