The Word Was God explores how God and metaphysics are a function and effect of language, and reflects upon Christianity as perversely atheistic but still the basis of universalism. The film compares an Aramaic-speaking hermit in Syria to a parish of Pentecostalists in London as they are overcome by Glossolalia. Here is a 7 minute clip.
